REGAL DOG PARLOUR LTD TERMS & CONDITIONS 2024
OVERVIEW
Your dog holds significant importance to us at Regal Dog Parlour Ltd, and as such, we prioritise ensuring their experience is as pleasant as possible. Occasionally, unforeseen pre-existing conditions may arise, such as skin allergies, shampoo sensitivities, moles, clipper sensitivities, matting and tangles, presence of fleas or ticks, fear, behavioral issues, or underlying health concerns like bone or joint sensitivities, heart conditions, seizures, etc. As the dog owner, it is your responsibility to inform Regal Dog Parlour Ltd of any such issues prior to grooming. Please note that Regal Dog Parlour Ltd reserves the right to levy additional charges for services deemed to exceed standard grooming procedures. By availing our services, you agree to cover all costs associated with grooming your dog, including but not limited to special handling requirements, de-matting fees, muzzling, pre-clipping of heavily matted fur, treatment for parasites, charges for missed appointments, and non-attendance for scheduled appointments.
BEHAVIOR
Please inform us of your dog’s behavior during grooming, if known. Some dogs may require additional time, especially if they tend to get nervous or are of advanced age. In the event that your dog displays aggression towards our groomers during the grooming session, you will still be charged the full grooming fee, even if we are unable to complete the grooming process. We allocate specific grooming personnel and time slots for your dog, irrespective of the outcome.
It's essential to understand that the quality of the grooming outcome depends significantly on your dog’s coat condition and behavior. If your dog is heavily matted, achieving the desired style may not be feasible during the current visit but can be gradually worked towards with regular grooming sessions. We appreciate receiving pictures depicting your grooming preferences.
MATTED DOGS
While we take every reasonable precaution, certain complications may arise when grooming matted dogs, such as skin nicks or clipper irritations. The determination of whether a pet is "matted" lies solely with Regal Dog Parlour Ltd. For minor matting that cannot be reasonably removed, an additional charge of £5 for every 15 minutes spent beyond the normal grooming time may apply, up to a maximum of 30 minutes, totaling an extra £10. If pre-clipping of extremely matted dogs is necessary, an additional charge of £12 will be applied on top of the grooming fee. This charge encompasses the costs incurred for blade and scissor maintenance due to blunting caused by matted fur.
By agreeing to these terms, you release Regal Dog Parlour Ltd from liability for clipper burns, minor nicks, or skin irritations that may occur during grooming sessions with heavily matted, aggressive, or restless dogs. Grooming may not be a pleasant experience for all dogs, increasing the likelihood of minor injuries. Moreover, Regal Dog Parlour Ltd cannot be held responsible for any post-grooming effects resulting from the removal of matted hair or grooming procedures, including but not limited to itchiness, skin redness, or self-inflicted irritations.
SOCIAL MEDIA
We love sharing pictures of your dogs on our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will only use your dog's names without disclosing any other personal information. If you do not wish for your dog's pictures to be shared, please notify us accordingly; otherwise, we will assume consent is granted.
AFTER CARE
If you realise upon returning home that you would like additional grooming adjustments, such as trimming on the tail, face, or ears, please feel free to revisit us within 24 hours of the initial grooming session. Any requests made after this period will be addressed during the next grooming session.
REFUNDS
Regrettably, we cannot offer refunds for completed grooming services. However, if you are dissatisfied with the outcome, please inform us promptly, as we value your feedback and are committed to addressing any concerns.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS
Missed appointments result in significant loss of income and time for Regal Dog Parlour Ltd. Any appointment cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a charge equivalent to 100% of the grooming fee per pet. Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior cancellation notification will also result in a charge equivalent to 100% of the grooming fee per dog. Further services will not be provided until this fee is settled. Emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please be mindful that our time and that of our groomers are reserved for your dog's grooming, necessitating compensation for missed appointments.
PARASITES
At Regal Dog Parlour, we prioritise the health and comfort of all our clients. To ensure a pleasant experience, we have a specific policy regarding fleas.
If your dog is scheduled for a grooming appointment and we detect fleas, we will pause the grooming process immediately. We will then contact you to discuss the next steps. You will have two options:
Opt for Flea Treatment: We use a specialised Flea & Tick shampoo that effectively removes fleas and ticks from your dog's coat. This treatment, enriched with tea tree and neem oil, soothes irritated skin and provides a built-in conditioner with Pro-Vitamin B5 to keep your dog’s coat clean, healthy, and well-maintained. The cost of this treatment is [insert cost], and once applied, we can proceed with the grooming session.
Collect Your Dog: If you choose not to proceed with the flea treatment, you may collect your dog from the salon. Please note, you will be charged for the full time slot reserved for the grooming appointment.
Our Flea & Tick shampoo ensures a thorough cleanse while preserving your dog’s natural coat oils, promoting overall skin and coat health.

AGGRESSIVE/REACTIVE
You agree to inform Regal Dog Parlour Ltd staff of any aggressive behavior or injuries caused by your dog(s) to other animals or humans. You acknowledge that you will be held solely liable for any harm, injury, or property damage caused by your pet. Regal Dog Parlour Ltd reserves the right to refuse grooming services for dogs deemed unsafe to groom, ensuring the safety of our groomers and other dogs. If necessary, muzzles may be utilized, or grooming services may be discontinued or declined. In such instances, you remain liable for the full grooming fee. This policy applies to both behavioral issues and health concerns.
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined by Regal Dog Parlour Ltd. We appreciate your support and understanding.
We highly recommend scheduling regular grooming sessions to prevent matting and ensure your dog's comfort.

Flea Treatment Policy
